A day trip on our yacht is one of the most popular add-on activities we offer. You can sail yourself or book our own skipper (subject to availability) and enjoy the local coastline or perhaps pop over to kalamos for lunch or Kastos for a swim in one of its many clear water anchorages. Our day yacht, a Dufour 345 or similar, is available for Mytikas beach club guests and can be booked before you depart or on arrival, but for availability, we recommend booking it before you depart.
To charter this yacht you will need to have yacht sailing experience and a certificate to prove your skills. Such as the RYA or IYT International Certificate of Competence or an RYA Day Skipper or IYT Bareboat Skipper qualification. If you don’t have the necessary piece of paper then you can hire our skipper or why not take the IYT course with us? It’s a 5 day practical course and lots of fun which is easily done from the Beach Club. To join the course you will need at least 10 days previous yacht sailing experience as First Mate (approx 200 miles).
The yacht is available to board from 10am at Mytikas Marina which is a 10-15min bike ride from the club, or a short taxi which we can arrange. We would ask that the yacht be returned to the marina by 5pm, but we are flexible if the prevailing conditions add a slight delay to your return.
Lunch is not included in the cost. There are lots of tavernas and restaurants dotted around the Gulf that are lovely to sail to. Alternatively you can buy supplies locally or ask our chef to provide a packed lunch for a small local charge. The yacht has a working galley and all the equipment you need for self catering.
