The Ionians offer some of the least challenging sailing in the Med’ - perfect for trainee skippers and expert skippers - or anyone who likes beautiful cruising and getting their family hooked on sailing. We can offer a course where all the family can learn together and a privately hired tuition yacht with instructor is the perfect way to experience yachting.

A course for your friends and family

As well as our Flotilla and Bareboat Skipper courses, we also have a course for crew members too. The International Crew Training certificate can be taken alongside mum and dad doing the IYT Flotilla or Bareboat skipper course, so it makes for the perfect family or group holiday where you can all get qualified together. We can train up to five people on the same yacht while you all learn in the sunshine and the most beautiful cruising grounds in the Med.

Booking a tuition yacht privately

You can book our tuition yacht and instructor privately and mixing all 3 courses works very well. The training yacht can follow our flotilla so you can enjoy the socials at each port and you will enjoy living aboard, the lunchtime swims and especially at anchor in beautiful stopovers each night. Our instructors are happy to sleep on our lead boat, giving you and your family some privacy at anchor after training ends for the day.
