We have made some very prestigious additions to our fleet for 2020, with some rather special and ‘not-your-usual-run-of-the-mill’ charter yachts. And topping the bill is our Dehler 38. Dehler has a world-renowned pedigree for building quality yachts and our ‘38 is a very special boat indeed.

She’s a fun and easy boat to sail with a German build quality and beautiful lines; and probably the most beautiful yacht you are likely to see! If you like to tweak sails and you love sailing - rather than motoring - then you’ll really appreciate Hera. So lovely is she to sail that you’ll be sailing into harbour long after everyone else has turned on the engine and given up for the day.

There’s so much that’s right about this boat that it’s very hard to summarise! She’s a tremendously engaging boat to sail, ease the backstay, move a jib car or drop a couple of inches of traveller and you’ll feel every tweak. She’s also a stunning boat to look at: with a hull-lines that will put 95% of all other Med-cruisers to shame.

She has a large open cockpit for Med-style living, a drop down swim platform and a great interior. If you don’t absolutely love this yacht, there will be something wrong with the ‘inner sailor’ in you!

Bareboat and Flexi Flotilla

This yacht is available for Bareboat and Flexi Flotilla. Bareboating suits those with sailing experience who prefer to decide on their own itinerary and the return to the yacht base at the end of the charter.

Flexi Flotilla allows you to dip in and out of our flotilla and enjoy the benefits of sailing in company and plotting your own itinerary. It suits those with experience who appreciate the framework of a flotilla for its lead crew support, the camaraderie and the kids entertainments and socials. There’s no need to book our Flexi option in advance, simply speak to the lead crew on arrival and they will help you plan your Flexi Flotilla week.

Our Flotillas

Hera is available for both our classic North and South Ionian Flotilla; and also for our ‘Assisted Flotilla’ in the Saronic islands (Aegean).

Classic Ionian Flotilla

Our classic flotilla is a fleet of up to 12 yachts which cruises the best islands and anchorages in the north and south Ionian. We’re on hand to help with all aspects of sailing from route planning to getting you moored up each night before you step ashore enjoy evening socials, group meals and family fun and games; or an excursion or two (like our popular paddleboard cruise) to break up the sailing.

Assisted Saronic Flotilla

Assisted Flotilla is much like a Classic Flotilla, but with a smaller group of 4-6 yachts. You have a very experienced skipper on one of the larger flotilla boats (like our Oceanis 51) who will accompany the cruise and be on hand if needed. We still cruise in company, have evening meals together, take care of the planning and (if you need) help you moor up at the end of each day. It’s a less ‘full-on’ style of flotilla in terms of entertainment; and it suits more experienced skippers who like more freedom to change their itinerary. If you like a smaller group of sociable sailors, lovely cultured stopovers and a lead skipper to help you have a great week, then you’ll like our Saronic islands Assisted Flotilla.

Stay & Sail

This yacht is available for a two week Stay Sail in Vassiliki and Porto Heli. Combine a relaxing week at either of our Beach Clubs with all-inclusive water sports, activities and excursions before you head off for a cruise around the Ionian islands, or the Saronic islands on our flotilla, or for bareboating

A Stay Sail is the perfect ‘twin centre’ holiday where you can combine the best of both worlds’ with relaxation, kids clubs, socials and watersports before heading out to explore the islands and enjoy the freedom of a yachting holiday.

Why not combine one of our yacht training courses with a flotilla holiday so you can get qualified in week one to skipper your yacht in week two.

The Dehler 38 is a beautifully made German performance cruiser. She has the Dehler pedigree and she’s the chosen yacht of Karl Dehler (who likes to race) and Hanse Yachts’ CEO. She looks absolutely stunning, just like a yacht should look and like never before has the old adage rung true...

...to sail right - she’s first gotta look right!

It’s not all about sailing though. Her drop-down swim platform and large, open cockpit allow you to live and dine alfresco whilst making the most out of the clearwater anchorages we love to sail into.
