Windsurf Tuition

Windsurfing tuition is included in the cost of your holiday and our lessons and clinics run most days. We have a brilliant team of British RYA (Royal Yachting Association) instructors and they’re a lovely bunch, on hand to help you on the water every day. They will always make your lessons fun and enjoyable and we teach all levels from tentative beginners to advanced windsurfers looking to develop their skills. You can even join one of our free-and-inclusive RYA courses and go home with a new internationally recognised qualification at the end of your stay. There's no need to pre-book tuition or courses. Just sign up to the sessions when you arrive at our clubs.

Dinghy Sailing Tuition

Whether you’re stepping into a boat for the first time, looking to progress your skills or just sailing for fun, we offer the highest standards of tuition from our very own Royal Yachting Association (RYA) instructors; along with all the latest dinghies, catamarans and performance boats you’ll ever need!

We teach all levels and our clinics and lessons run most days. RYA Courses

Give yourself a focus for the week and join one of our free-and-inclusive RYA courses for Windsurfing and dinghy sailing and go home with a new internationally recognised qualification to add to your suntanning achievements! Courses run for 10-12 hours (2-3 hours a day) and are lots of fun in sociable groups (6 persons to 1 instructor). You’ll meet other guests and learn lots of new things in a safe and satisfying environment. There's no need to pre-book these courses. Just sign up when you arrive.

Daily Clinics 

We also run daily clinics for windsurfing and sailing. They are free for you to drop in and out of and designed for those of you who don’t want to commit to a whole course for the week, but would still like to learn some tips. We design them for beginner sailors and windsurfers and you can learn anything from tips on tacking to tips on carve gybing.

SailFoiling Tuition

We even offering free foiling taster sessions for windsurfing and sailing  so that you can experience the latest craze of foiling this summer. These 1 to 1.5 hours sessions will give you a taste of learning to fly on a specially adapted windsurf board or the RS Aero with GlideFree foils. You’ll need to be an intermediate level sailor or windsurfer to enjoy this taster.

Paddlesports Clinics

Our expert beach team provide clinics for beginners and more accomplished paddlers. We’ll take beginners through their first steps on a SUP or a kayak and an introduction to the different boards and kayaks available, advised on how to safely fit a leash and buoyancy aid. How to correctly adjust your paddle size and how to carry equipment to the water's edge.Getting afloat, your instructor will walk you through some basic safety techniques before moving on to paddle technique. You’ll soon be out on the water and exploring the bay in no time.

We’ll also give some more accomplished paddlers some tips and advice on paddling positions, steering, paddle technique and strokes.

Sail Away Dinghy Cruising

Discover the world of dinghy cruising as we offer you the opportunity to take part in our Sail Away cruises as we sail in company to a nearby island (a few miles away) or ‘secret-beach’ stopover with instructors and support boats on hand.

Long distance cruising in small boats is a truly rewarding excursion and you will learn about route planning, safety, basic navigation and long distance sailing skills to get you hooked.

Regattas and racing

We run daily racing and mini-regattas in all our clubs, for all levels, throughout the week. We will cover the basic rules of racing in our free daily clinics and always before a race. Our races are light hearted and aimed at all levels, beginner to expert. We’ll also run a bigger mid-week and end-of-week regatta for class boats like the Laser fleet and handicap racing for mixed fleets. It’s all about taking part and having fun, (with prizes too!). A chance to show your competitive side!

International Skippers course

For complete beginners and sailors with experience

If you’ve never sailed before then try our International Flotilla skippers course during week one of a Stay Sail holiday. We also have a course for sailors with experience, the International Bareboat Skippers course. Both courses run for 4-5 days and follow the International Yacht Training scheme (IYT). Even as a complete beginner, we can teach you everything you need to know to skipper your own yacht for week two. As a more experienced yacht (200 miles) you can earn yourself an IYT certificate in just one week and be qualified to charter yachts worldwide.
