Sun Odyssey 379 Keeping Cool

The Sun Odyssey 379 offers the perfect balance of ingredients with her ultra-modern hull shape and easy sail handling. She sports a very modern look with twin wheels, hard-chines and wide aft sections and so her performance is sparkling! There’s plenty of space onboard (in fact more than many 40 footers) and all in an easily handled ‘38 foot package’ for a couple or family who like a boat with good performance.

‘Keeping Cool’ is based at our Porto Heli Beach Club so you can explore the stunning Saronic islands (known as the Greek Riviera) for a one or two week flotilla or bareboat cruise; or combine with a staysail at our Beach Club for the best of both worlds. She’s got a great spec with all the electronics you'll ever need, and a spacious interior with lots of light and cream upholstery to give a touch of luxe. She also has a large cockpit and plenty of deck space for sunbathing - with a drop down swim platform for enjoying those idyllic anchorages, lunchtime swims and paddleboarding.

We love this yacht for

The 379 is a thoroughly modern boat. She has a high level of stability, an easily managed rig and she delivers pure sailing fun. In fact, it has been ‘the boat of choice’ for our MD when he holidays in the Ionian; and he successfully campaigns the more race-oriented version of this boat in some tough offshore races in the UK. So her genetics must be good!

Quote from Cruising World magazine, 2013:

"I am hard pressed to find any criticisms of this boat. It’s the rare boat I test that I would personally want to own and operate."

Bareboating

For week two of your Stay Sail holiday you can choose to join our Assisted Flotilla or go Bareboating. Bareboating suits those with sailing experience who prefer to decide on their own itinerary and return to the yacht base at the end of the charter. All our yachts are handed over fully equipped, with full yacht systems training and support throughout your week with a welcome pack, bed linen, towels, daily SMS weather update, final cleaning and 24hr call out emergency assistance.

Assisted Flotilla - Saronic Islands

Assisted Flotilla is much like a Classic Flotilla, but with a smaller group of 4-6 yachts. You have a very experienced skipper on one of the larger flotilla boats (like our Oceanis 51) who will accompany the cruise and be on hand if needed. We still cruise in company, have evening meals together, take care of the planning and (if you need) help you moor up at the end of each day.

It’s a less ‘full-on’ style of flotilla in terms of entertainment; and it suits more experienced skippers who like more freedom to change their itinerary. If you like a smaller group of sociable sailors, lovely cultured stopovers and a lead skipper to help you have a great week, then you’ll like our Saronic islands Assisted Flotilla.

Stay & Sail

This yacht is available for a two week Stay Sail at our 4* Beach Club in Porto Heli. Combine a relaxing week on the beach with club board catering, fitness classes, kids clubs and all-inclusive activities and watersports tuition on tap; before you head off for a cruise around the Saronic islands on our flotilla or for bareboating.

It’s the perfect ‘twin centre’ holiday and combines the best of both worlds’: Get the family hooked on sailing at our award winning clubs before heading out to explore the Greek Riviera and enjoying the freedom of a yachting holiday.
